Hello from the Holiday Queen of Asia!

Hello dear Blogging friends, I am sorry it's been so long. I'm at the end of a massive fest of holidays and I'm ending on a high.

At the top of the world no less. Just look at this picture of Mount Batur, Indonesia which I took earlier this morning. I hope wherever you are in the world, your sunrise was as beautiful!

Dawn at Mount Batur, Bali
Let me just start by sharing my office with you. Here it is overlooking the paddy fields of Bali, somewhere between Denpasar and Padang for those in the know.

We are quite remote here and the hotel says don't blame them the internet is down, it's their provider!

So I had to go exploring the area and find some decent Internet cover. The dog is my new companion at the street bar I found with the Internet. Isn't this the most perfect office for the day? Who care's there is no WIFi at the resort.

I've been doing a tour of paradise locations of the world. No, not really but this is what it feels like.

What would your paradise be like?
Songkran Holiday in Phuket
Do you want a beach holiday above?

Would you prefer a holiday with friends or a holiday with the family?

Below are some pictures from our Easter holiday in Pattaya, Thailand

Do you like to be with crowds and feel like there is a party atmosphere, or be more secluded?

Or would you like my third holiday this month the Fitcation?

The Monttra Pattaya near Jomtien Beach, Pattaya
The what do I hear you ask?

My Bali Fitcation is a lot of fun. Every day we have started with Group Training at 6.30am except today. Today we started at 2.30 am to walk up one of Bali's active volcanoes. We were really lucky and got a great sunrise. It was worth getting up at this time for sure!

Later in the day, I have Personal Training in the gym - I think I might be in need of a massage at the spa afterward. It's a tough life. Tomorrow I will do a yoga class to loosen up a few stiff parts of my body!

Have you ever been on a fitness holiday?

It's all go here!

Just a little sneak preview from my weekend...

After Songkran (Thai New Year) holiday, Easter holiday, Fitcation. I'm now back in Thailand where we are enjoying the King's Coronation holiday!

Thank you to those of you who have been joining me on my blogging from A-Z Challenge Around the World with Wren on Little Wandering Wren - Travels. I'm a little behind schedule on account of always being on holiday!

So far we have been to :
Lovely to see you here as always!

I think your fitcation would kill me! But I'd love any kind of holiday -- and family, friends or solo is fine by me. Lots of beautiful colors, beautiful blue here. Biggest sigh. We'll hit that soon but not soon enough!

On another note, I put together the lovely lantern shade and I love it! I'll send you a photo or post one soon!

I’m breathless just reading of your flits here and there. And especially that Fitcation! I’m yearning for the mountains lately, maybe because i live near the sea. Anyway, we have some medical issues we’ve been dealing with last month and this so it’s not likely we are going anywhere for a bit but that’s the paradise where I’d head I could. Your photos are wonderful.
It's always fun to read your posts about your latest adventures. The photo of Mount Batur should be published as a post or greeting card!!

My goodness each time I come to your blog you are in another city, country or continent, lol ! I am glad that Google + doesn't exist anymore ! My husband is still in the rehabilitation clinic near Wavre that makes now 6 weeks. Don't know when he comes home. Fortunately the place is lovely !

I'm not peaky, any of the holidays will do! I would also trade my 4 walled office for yours.
I never had an organized fitcation (with planned classes and so on), but I have been wanting to do something like that. We are usually very active during our vacation, so I know it would be a lot of fun.
You are clearly having a great time, so please enjoy and keep posting so that we can dream about it :)

These are really awesome photos that make me want to travel! Personally, I enjoy just Hubby and me out for 3-9 days at a time.

It's not a Happy New Year here in Australia

Hello, everyone. Greetings from Australia I hope you are all doing well wherever you are reading this.
As I'm sure you've heard, things are not so good here in my part of the world. 2019 was Australia's hottest and driest on record. Our 2020 started, as the last century ended, with a New Year inferno. Devasting bushfires, record temperatures and air pollution at critical levels have made news across the world.
A massive thank you to all of you who have contacted me with love and concern asking how you can help with our current bushfire disaster.

We live in harrowing times, our news is filled with images that are sometimes beyond belief. My family and home in suburban Melbourne are all fine. For us, other than disrupted holiday plans, and the polluted air, we are largely unaffected.
Except that sometimes everything seems to have changed,  and at others, life goes on. It is the weirdest of times.
It is the saddest of times, especially for those who are directly affected by these tr…

Bye from the Australian Open!

We all get withdrawal feelings after the tennis, it takes up so much of our lives in January. Gee it's exhausting, mostly because we also get gripped by the night matches on the television and stay up really late! We have been lucky to have been down at Melbourne Park six times over the Australian Open tennis championships. We have cheered home our favourite players at round one matches on the outside courts, to the Mixed Doubles and Men's finals at Rod Laver Arena.

We have not been alone. Over 700,000 people have also been at the tennis in 2016. The players call the Aussie Open the Happy Slam and it's easy to see why. The fans are plentiful, often dressed in fancy dress and completely over the top in favour of cheering in local talent. Although there is mixed support for some of the antics of some of our young Australian men!

The weather is gorgeous, when it's not stinking hot or pouring with rain all day. But even then, we have three covered arenas, two with retractab…

All things bright and beautiful in Bangkok... and very Christmassy!

Hello everyone

How is your week going? I hope you're having a wonderful Wednesday. Here is a lotus flower for you. Isn't it incredible? I picked it on one of my recent trips in rural Thailand to spend some time with the Ban Laem Community. They rowed me out into the middle of the pond, like a Princess to pick it!
Oh me, oh my what a life!

Mind you, if you can see the photo below I had to walk the gangplank of the bamboo path to get into the boat! You can read more about this here:

The Ban Laem Community, Suphanburi, Thailand

All good here, although I'm missing being in Australia at the moment as it is the Spring Racing carnival's Melbourne Cup weekend. It's a lovely time of year, spring is one of the best times anywhere in the world don't you agree?

We've not got any horses here but we do have loads of animals in my corner of the world.  Whereever I go in Bangkok,  I always seem to find the elephant in the room. Haha!

Guess what happened out our way this we…
