Doggie Dilemma

It's been a big start to the year. We have been trying to decide whether to move. There were job offers in Hong Kong, Singapore and China. Next year all the kids will be at University. We are technically footloose and fancy free - Yay! We become Empty Nesters,  and can sail off into the sunset.  OK you're right...  We're probably more likely to take a plane  but the furniture can go by boat! But there is one little problem:  The Crazy Poodle. The various faces of the Crazy Poodle We won't take him with us, DH declares,  'Not to Asia. It's not fair!'  'Whaaat? It's not fair to leave him, he's one of the family',  I reply in hushed tones, just in case Mutt is listening. He knows some thing's up as he sits there all cute and adorable in his kennel... We're in the dog house for thoughts about leaving Mutt in Australia I never wanted a dog, but we promised the kids that when we eventually settle...

And Doggie comes too!

We have a special dog seat belt to ensure he is safe on the roads! Mutt sits there very smugly in his element. He knows there was much debate about whether to take him and risk, in the words of DH, sleeping in ‘ grotty doggy places .’  But things have changed, tourism has woken up to the fact that people who love their pets, want to holiday them with. Google shows a surprisingly ...

Saturday Critters - Aussie Animals

G'day from Melbourne Australia!  And welcome to my first ever Saturday Critters post. Well actually G'day is a bit fake coming from me because as originally a Brit,  I'm more likely to say Good Morning!  But G'day is the official welcome here, so G'day it is... I'm Wren.   My Little Wandering Wren  blog is to share my travels with family and friends.  Now Aussie based for a while, it's evolved into posts about my Australian life. A bonus has been connecting with new Blogger friends across the world. Photo No 1: The headless chook bird* Of course my first photo has to be a bird!  These are actually the colourful Galah parrots that live in our street.  The top one represents me, the headless one, the bottom bird is one of my three teenage wren-lets asking ' what's for dinner ?'! Our local Galah's in daylight! We're not off to a good start because I had to Google '...
