Hello from the Holiday Queen of Asia!

Hello dear Blogging friends, I am sorry it's been so long. I'm at the end of a massive fest of holidays and I'm ending on a high.

At the top of the world no less. Just look at this picture of Mount Batur, Indonesia which I took earlier this morning. I hope wherever you are in the world, your sunrise was as beautiful!

Dawn at Mount Batur, Bali
Let me just start by sharing my office with you. Here it is overlooking the paddy fields of Bali, somewhere between Denpasar and Padang for those in the know.

We are quite remote here and the hotel says don't blame them the internet is down, it's their provider!

So I had to go exploring the area and find some decent Internet cover. The dog is my new companion at the street bar I found with the Internet. Isn't this the most perfect office for the day? Who care's there is no WIFi at the resort.

Little Wandering Wren office, Bali, Indonesia
I've been doing a tour of paradise locations of the world. No, not really but this is what it feels like.

What would your paradise be like?
Songkran Holiday in Phuket
Do you want a beach holiday above?

Would you prefer a holiday with friends or a holiday with the family?

Below are some pictures from our Easter holiday in Pattaya, Thailand

Do you like to be with crowds and feel like there is a party atmosphere, or be more secluded?

Or would you like my third holiday this month the Fitcation?

The Monttra Pattaya near Jomtien Beach, Pattaya
The what do I hear you ask?

My Bali Fitcation is a lot of fun. Every day we have started with Group Training at 6.30am except today. Today we started at 2.30 am to walk up one of Bali's active volcanoes. We were really lucky and got a great sunrise. It was worth getting up at this time for sure!

Later in the day, I have Personal Training in the gym - I think I might be in need of a massage at the spa afterward. It's a tough life. Tomorrow I will do a yoga class to loosen up a few stiff parts of my body!

Have you ever been on a fitness holiday?

It's all go here!

Just a little sneak preview from my weekend...

After Songkran (Thai New Year) holiday, Easter holiday, Fitcation. I'm now back in Thailand where we are enjoying the King's Coronation holiday!

Thank you to those of you who have been joining me on my blogging from A-Z Challenge Around the World with Wren on Little Wandering Wren - Travels. I'm a little behind schedule on account of always being on holiday!

So far we have been to :
Lovely to see you here as always!

Love

I think your fitcation would kill me! But I'd love any kind of holiday -- and family, friends or solo is fine by me. Lots of beautiful colors, beautiful blue here. Biggest sigh. We'll hit that soon but not soon enough!

On another note, I put together the lovely lantern shade and I love it! I'll send you a photo or post one soon!

I’m breathless just reading of your flits here and there. And especially that Fitcation! I’m yearning for the mountains lately, maybe because i live near the sea. Anyway, we have some medical issues we’ve been dealing with last month and this so it’s not likely we are going anywhere for a bit but that’s the paradise where I’d head I could. Your photos are wonderful.
It's always fun to read your posts about your latest adventures. The photo of Mount Batur should be published as a post or greeting card!!

My goodness each time I come to your blog you are in another city, country or continent, lol ! I am glad that Google + doesn't exist anymore ! My husband is still in the rehabilitation clinic near Wavre that makes now 6 weeks. Don't know when he comes home. Fortunately the place is lovely !

I'm not peaky, any of the holidays will do! I would also trade my 4 walled office for yours.
I never had an organized fitcation (with planned classes and so on), but I have been wanting to do something like that. We are usually very active during our vacation, so I know it would be a lot of fun.
You are clearly having a great time, so please enjoy and keep posting so that we can dream about it :)

It's been years since we last holidayed in Phuket, Pattaya and Bali Wren. These days we seem to spend most of our time going back and forth to Sydney to visit our son and family. Looks like you are having a brilliant time.. enjoy enjoy and enjoy some more 😀

These are really awesome photos that make me want to travel! Personally, I enjoy just Hubby and me out for 3-9 days at a time.

The Expat - an A to Z of how not to make friends.

Ok, so I have now officially disgraced myself with the Americans…
A little bit of backstory, I moved to Bangkok eighteen months ago. It was a tricky move coming from the eight times winner of the ‘World’s Most Liveable City’ Melbourne, Australia to one of the most polluted, congested and the world’s hottest capital city… I gave up a meaningful job that I loved, in the Not-for-Profit sector to become a lady of leisure.

I threw myself into life here. I enjoyed the travel and getting to know Bangkok, and we had loads of visitors, but this year everything changed when we moved into our forever place in Bangkok. Hated it, nothing worked, was miserable, so had a great summer traveling the globe visiting family and friends instead.

Back in Bangkok, ready to immerse back into my Thai life, I am moving into a new apartment and ready to make some new friends, I joined a few expat organisations…
I know, I know being an Expat sounds glamorous, we have left the homeland, or in my case homelands, and j…

Friendship Friday!

Hello dear friends in Blogland. How are you doing? I am pleased to be here for Friendship Friday
I've had a great week and have well and truly settled back into my Asian life  where I am enjoying making new friends both locally and in here in the blogosphere.

I've had fun, I have joined a new group - the American Women's Club of Thailand.
Why the American's when you're a British Aussie? You may well ask. Well firstly they take anyone, these Expat women's groups really are not that fussy!

Well, except for the ANZWG Group where you need to be closely associated with Australia and New Zealand. I am, I have the passport and I have a family, home and of course an Aussie Crazy Poodle Down Under and I miss my Melbourne life terribly,  but my life in Thailand is more about meeting women from around the globe.

I have always had lots of American friends, I chat with many Americans via my blog...

... anyway they let this little bird in and she's chirpy about that!

Bonjour from Paris!

Hello everyone, I'm glad I've caught you.  How is your week going?
We're doing fine, I'm having a lovely time in Paris in the Spring.

I have just finished a pilates class in French! Woo hoo for still being able to find my toes and vaguely keeping up. I managed to carry it off until the end of the class when I thanked the instructor and she said in a loud voice:
'Argh, Vous ĂȘtes Anglais?'
At which point I firmly replied in my very best français:
'Non, Je Suis Australienne'
I mean who the bloody 'ell would admit to being English at the moment? Pardon my French!

This all takes me back to my days living in Belgium when I lived my daily life muddling through, only getting half of was said.
Nothing has changed. I am here pouring over the French newspapers, it is slightly more fun enjoying the Brexit news in French. However in English or French, it is a sad state of affairs.
And no, to all my friends back in far off lands, who all ask... I have no idea what is hap…
